Get up again.

Another day,

Another disappointment.

Shuddering in the disgust of my personal injustice. Thinking I am special, just like everyone else.

At some point, one must be a loser for someone else to win. When I've been elected out of the hundreds, or thousands, or perhaps even more to be where I am, all of those others were not. They did their best, and tried to be where I am, but they failed. I'm selected. I won.

As joyful as these fleeting moments of victory are, they are just my victory. As I relish in good fortune, I am hardly cognizant of those who fell behind.

But now, here in being the one left behind, I am grateful there is a winner.
